Music Video: MED - "Classic" feat. Talib Kweli
Stones Throw needs some love on this blog. Probably throw in some J Rocc and Aloe Blacc in future posts.
Quick Hit: Hodgy Beats - "Mystery"
Hodgy Beats from OFWGKTA or Odd Future for short (ironically), dropped this a couple of days ago. The sample is from old school English rock band, Moody Blues.
It's a love it or hate it thing when it comes to Odd Future. A lot of people think they're over the top with their music, others might think they're vastly overrated. Whatever the case might be, they really know how to get themselves out there. And that's key when you're trying to get you and your music out there.

Flashback of the Day: Hieroglyphics - "Halo"
If you've dabbled with the underground hip-hop scene, you might have heard of a collective of MCs and producers called Hieroglyphics. based in the SF/Oakland bay area. This track, "Halo" comes from their second album, "Full Circle." Opio, the first MC to spit his verse on this track goes absolutely hard. So does Del, Phesto, Tajai, A-Plus, and Casual. Listen to their lyrical flow. MY BRAIN IS CRYING.

Streetwear brand The Hundreds will be opening their 4th flagship store (LA, SF, NY) in Santa Monica this Friday, April 1st. Although it remains to be seen if there's a prank behind the vague and late marketing. Especially when there's another store within the vicinity. If you're in the LA area, check it out. There will be a limited amount of exclusive stuff for the first attendees.

Video: Toro Y Moi - "Still Sound"
If someone refers you to the horribly named chillwave movement, it's most likely you'll be introduced to Chaz Bundick. Also known as Toro Y Moi. This is his music video for his song "Still Sound" off his second full length album, "Underneath The Pine." The video is shot with a super 8 camera with 8mm film, giving it a nice retro visual matching the retro funk.
